Kristina started teaching yoga in 2012 after personal training for 2 years in home and in gyms. She knew that yoga could change her clients lives and wanted to introduce it on a bigger level. As she went through various stages in her life such as pregnancy, child birth and life with babies yoga was always a safe place and practice to help her find herself and her body again. Kristina loves teaching all types of yoga classes from Yoga with weights, fast pace vinyasas, to slow and strong practices and restorative. Kristina opened Balanced Breath Studio in 2017 and works hard to create a safe space for her students to move, breathe and explore themselves through movement and connection with our studio community.

Jami is an Arthur local. She lives in town with her husband and two cats. Jami has completed her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Bali and is over the moon with glee about teaching at the very studio that she began yoga at. Jami loves to teach restorative and cozy practices that help you to tune into to your mind and body. Jami has found so much success in her own life through practicing yoga and wants to share this practice with anyone who is willing to learn.

Joni was first drawn to yoga in 2012 after she completed University in an effort to get healthy and fit. After some time she noticed the stress relieving benefits of her yoga practice and how great she felt after each class. Joni said for a while she let “life” get in the way and unfortunately took a small break from yoga. Eventually realizing how much she missed it, she made the time for herself to get back onto her mat. 2018 is when Joni decided she wanted to expand her knowledge further and share this feeling of relaxation with others. Joni furthered her journey and her Yoga Teacher Training though Yoga Fit. Her class is mindful, thoughtful and gentle, but also fun and invigorating. After multiple years of yoga practice, Joni came to love gentle yoga as it is accessible to everyone. She says all we need is a flexible mind, open heart and gratitude to really embrace ourselves. During class we are building strength, flexibility and stamina though our yoga postures for our body but also our mind. She describes her favourite part of yoga as the look on participants faces at the end of class; it is a calming, peaceful, and relaxed look – pure bliss!

Jade is our “kids” yoga teacher here at Balanced Breath Studio. With a background in Child Development and a passion for teaching children, she takes a play-based approach to teaching yoga. Her classes are upbeat, fun and engaging. She truly is a fun-loving child that has never allowed herself to grow up. She still believes in magic and it shows in her classes as she encourages us to find it within ourselves.

Haley Rooney is a lifelong resident of Arthur and started yoga 5 years ago. In 2018 she ventured to Hawaii to earn her 200HR teaching certification. Her favourite styles of yoga to teach are yin and restorative. “I love having the ability to create a space where students are able to relax and unwind from their everyday lives.” Outside the studio you will find Haley hanging out with my friends and family, at school, or travelling around the world with my yoga mat.

Stacey is from Mount Forest and is our 200hr Certified BUTI instructor. Stacey believes in loving yourself fully and embracing every part of yourself. Buti is a way to turn up the music and let go of your inhibitions, wake up your chakras and tune into your divine feminine self. Stacey emanates self love and joy and her energy is infectious.
