“And suddenly you know, it’s time to start something new… and trust the magic of beginnings.” Eckhart Tolle
Hello Lovely Studio Community,

I want to start of by saying thank you. Please picture this thank you as a warm and strong hug with my happiness and gratitude overflowing onto you. Oh how I have adored having this business, in this community for the last three years. I have loved having a bigger platform to give back to the community from. I have loved getting to know all of you and all of the professionals we have worked with. I have gotten up every day for the last (almost) 3 years with a smile on my face knowing I get to do THIS and loving it. I have enjoyed letting my creativity run wild with no limits on how to bring things to the table. I have enjoyed serving seniors, kids, parents, families and just regular people trying to find healing and calm in their lives. I have enjoyed the growth that has come in my own life from being a brick and mortar business owner. The support, the engagement, the uplift from the local communities and businesses. So much GOOD has come from this space. I am proud of that.

When the corona virus hit, no one really knew what it’s impacts would be. At that time, closing was the furthest thing on my mind. I jumped in, full force, trying to tread the waters like all the other businesses. I felt my feelings, I took space, I journalled, I shut my phone off and I practiced. I questioned the future, the economy, what opening really would look like and who was I putting at risk. When I sat with all of these questions I realized that normalcy wasn’t about to return to an events business like mine likely until next year. Was I willing to renew a lease for a very expensive brick and mortar space knowing I won’t be able to operate at full capacity? Knowing I would have to increase prices to make up the difference? Knowing I couldn’t provide the full experience I had worked hard to provide? At the very center, was I willing to continually overtax myself and family for the sake of making it through? The answer is no.

I want you all to know that this decision is NOT coming from a lack of community support for our small business. It is NOT coming from inability to pay the expenses here. We have been SO fortunate to get the help and support we have gotten and I cry tears of joy every time I think about how the community has uplifted this business in this time of crisis. It is truly coming from so many other variables around the corona virus pandemic and the shift that really changes things for a studio like mine. As well as the perspective this slow down has given my family.

Thank you for giving me a platform to be myself and express creatively through trying to make the community a better place. Thank you for supporting my dreams and allowing my instructors and I to spread our love of yoga and connecting with self. Thank you for spreading the word about us, showing up to our classes and events, sharing your lives with us and growing with us. Thank you for supporting the small businesses that have worked within the studio offices and for spreading the word about them. Thank you for helping women owned business thrive within our tiny little community.

Our lease runs out in August and we will still be teaching until then. The instructors and I don’t really know what we are doing next but you can follow our social media for links to instructor social media and other projects we do as we move forward. As of August 1st I will be taking a little leave of absence and figuring out my next steps but will still be sharing podcasts and social media things.

If you have a package with us that you would like refunded from pre-corona virus please e-mail me back and let me know so we can work out a refund.

I appreciate you all, I am so grateful and THANK YOU for your support through this journey. Immeasurable lessons and growth has happened for me through this place and I know it has happened for many of our members. I hope this time together stays in your hearts as it will mine. I will never forget the love that you gave us.

Kristina
